Bio: Hey! My name is Addie and I am from Burlington, North Carolina. I play soccer, run cross-country; I am on the student government, and in Key Club. I’m super pumped to be a Firefly Fashionista this year! I’m looking forward to all of the fun shoots with the Firefly girls this summer! Also I’m so excited to help get the word out about how awesome Firefly is!

Hi! I am currently a marketing student at Elon University and I LOVE IT. I have lived all across the country but I’ve always been a true southern girl at heart. Living in so many places has given me a pretty unique sense of tastes and style. In the summer I live in dresses. They are comfortable and easy to dress up for any occasion with a great pair of shoes or some fun jewelry! Everything I wear is pretty classic. I appreciate great fitting clothes that look good on me and that doesn’t mean following every fashion craze. I have way too many LBDs (little black dresses) but I love that they look great on and will never go out of style! I can’t wait for all of you to get to know my quirky style habits and update you on my insane shoe collection. (I’ve stopped counting because the number is too high for me to handle!) Remember, clothes are fun so dress for you and you’ll look amazing and confident no matter what you are wearing.

Hi everyone! My name is Jessica Turek and I am from Raleigh, North Carolina. I am about to be a sophomore at Elon University and my major is business administration with a concentration in marketing. My dream is to be a fashion buyer for a big company like Bloomingdales or Neiman Marcus, or work for People’s Revolution (yes, I am a huge fan of The City!) I am so excited to be a Firefly Fashionista and share fashion tips and outfit suggestions based on my personal style, which I hope everyone likes! This spring and summer are going to be fantastic and I can’t wait to see all those flowy, off-the-shoulder dresses, bright rompers, floral patterns, turquoise and coral jewelry, and warm colored accessories!

I’m a media arts and entertainment major at Elon University. I’ve really enjoyed my experience as a Communications Fellow. I was born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee (I’ll go ahead and admit I’m in love with cowboy boots.) When it comes to fashion, my first rule is to wear what makes you feel beautiful; don’t dress to follow anyone else’s rules, because ultimately, your attitude and confidence are what truly gives something style. As a past pageant titleholder, I guess it’s no surprise that I love any excuse to get dolled up in a fabulous dress and statement heels. I enjoy putting together looks for the nights out. Though I love getting dressed up, I feel just as comfortable in my blue jeans and Frye boots. I’m a firm believer in getting the most out of your wardrobe. Day-to-night outfits have become a staple for me, and as a Firefly Fashionista, I am looking forward to passing along a few tips for making an outfit work in multiple settings.
Overall I’d say my style is ladylike, preppy and classic, but in three different ways. The best way to describe my style is explaining my hometown of Nashville. For some occasions, I’m dressed for downtown’s Music Row — edgy with some sparkle. Some days are fit for gorgeous scenery of Tennessee (think Hannah Montana movie) with sundresses and cowboy boots. Other days are Hillsboro Village, with a more laid-back, eclectic look.
Become a Firefly Fashionista!
Out of close to 100 applicants, these 5 were chosen! A Firefly Fashionista is a student liaison between your school and Firefly. Fashionistas will participate in photo shoots; in-store modeling; planning and advertising events; and promoting the store in general. We are look for volunteers from all local high schools and universities.
